Conference hears all about exciting times for Team and its members
MORE than 140 agents from all over the Team network attended the Association’s annual conference at the Stratford Manor Hotel.
Delegates were given a preview of the latest web-based version of Team’s unique multi-listing software, developed in association with their IT partners, Resource Techniques.
There was also a foretaste of Team Property Services, the Association’s new joint venture with MyHomeMove, which is intended to turn Team offices into genuine one-stop shops for all of people’s moving-related needs.
Speakers at the event included National Association of Estate Agents trio, chief executive Peter Bolton King, head of legal and policy Liz Richards and head of business development Ruth Lilley, along with international adventurer Neil Laughton and Dennis Turner, chief economist of HSBC, and one of the country’s most respected economic advisors to finance and industry.
But perhaps the most impressive feature of the event was the upbeat mood which prevailed throughout.
The day proved to be an overwhelmingly positive reaffirmation of the Team ethos of strength through co-operation, and a timely reminder of all the benefits that flow from membership — both now and in the future.
Phil Irving, Team’s Finance Director, spoke about Team Property Services, launched on November 1, which delivers a uniquely comprehensive range of products and services, from Energy Performance Certificates, conveyancing and Home Information Packs to financial services, removals, utilities, satellite TV, wills and probate services.
Agents simply choose which services they want to offer their clients, with everything else being handled by a new, dedicated call centre.
Commission will be earned on every service sold, representing a substantial additional revenue stream.
In addition, the new tool will help generate more instructions, improve the customer experience - and most importantly, put Team members squarely at the centre of the entire moving process.
Forty per cent of shares in Team Property Services will be available to members, based on individual usage, with 25 per cent owned by the Association itself, giving Team real majority control.
