Goad-en anniversary celebrations!
Air Ambulance service to benefit from agency’s
50th birthday fund-raising...
THE Goadsby estate agency, with 26 offices
across Central Southern England, are celebrating their 50th anniversary — and,
in addition to hosting a number of events involving staff and clients, will be
spending the year organising fund-raising events for the local Air Ambulance.
The agency started life as Goadsby and Harding in 1958 and its name was abbreviated
earlier this decade.
Chief executive David Errington said: “As a company, Goadsby has always
been committed to supporting local charities so we are particularly delighted
to be associated with this extremely worthwhile cause in this our 50th year.
“Aubrey Goadsby and Anthony Harding launched the company in August 1958
from their offices in St Peter’s Road in Bournemouth.
“Both men were already highly-respected members of the community and the
company quickly gained an enviable reputation not only for the buying and selling
of houses but also for the provision of a wide range of professional services.
“The new look Goadsby now employs over 400 staff and boasts a £13
million turnover. Our group comprises 26 residential offices, 12 lettings offices,
three successful land departments and commercial offices in Bournemouth, Southampton
and Winchester.
“We remain committed to independence and looking to the next 50 years we
will continue to seek further strategic expansion to complement the network and
enhance our position as one of the leading providers of multi-sector property
services in Central Southern England.”
Air Ambulance charity director Nicola Howkins said: “These two Air Ambulances
cover Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Dorset and Somerset and all the staff are extremely
grateful to Goadsby for supporting these vital life-saving helicopters, which
rely solely on donations from the local community.”
